BEM September "Fall" Challenge

As the winner of the BEM "New Horizons" challenge, Dini of Beadazzled of Oregon chose "Fall" as the September Challenge theme. She states "I love fall! I love the smells and sounds, the dryness of the leaves, the really cold mornings and the beautiful still warm afternoons. Above all, I love the fall colors."

There are 5 entries for the new "Fall" challenge. The first picture is by Bedazzled of Oregon and is entitled Shades of Fall.

This 2nd entry is by Nans Glam and is entitled Autumn Flora Brooch.


The 3rd entry is by Rachele's Originals and is entitled Inspire' d'Automne.


The 4th entry is by GG's Designs and is called Fall Bargello Bracelet.


The 5th entry is by Silver Dragon Creations and is called Autumn Goddess.

Tropical Holiday Challenge

WHEW! I completed my entry into the Etsy Beadweavers (EBW) Team Challenge entitled "Tropical Holiday." I keep wanting to call it Tropical "Vacation" - I must need one!

I called my piece "Paradise" as it certainly would be paradise to be lying on a warm white sand beach listening to the ocean waves lapping against the shore and enjoying all the colorful flowers.

New Etsy Beadweavers Challenge

The Etsy December Beadweaving Challenge has ended. There were 658 votes and 31 gorgeous entries. The winner with 133 votes (20% of the total number of votes) was Karin of Gypsy Eyes Jewelry who won with her Queen of the Frozen Tundra necklace. Congratulations to her!

Now we face a new challenge - TROPICAL HOLIDAY!

When I first heard the new theme, the first thing that came to my mind was lots of bright, bold colors - luscious green palm trees, gorgeous blue waters, brilliant red and pink flowers, and for some reason, bright yellow bananas. How will I ever combine all that into one piece of jewelry?

The good news is that we have until February 5th to complete our piece. Stay tuned for updates and on my progress.
